A Star Rating Cannot Tell the Whole Story
STU Editorial
Customer listening

A five star rating is a useful signal, but it is only the end of a sentence when a business really needs the beginning of a conversation. A voice review tells the story behind the score: what mattered, what felt thoughtful, and where the experience became difficult.
Stories make the customer visible. People remember scenes rather than feature lists—the employee who remembered an order, the clear explanation, or the moment a confusing process became simple. Those details give a team practical information that a rating cannot provide.
A review should not have to sound polished. Speaking can be faster and more natural than typing, especially when customers are busy or tired. Anonymous voice feedback lowers the pressure to perform and makes it easier for an honest reaction to reach the people who can learn from it.
Stars still have their place. They offer a glance. Stories offer a reason to look closer.
